PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown baseball team is set to head back out on the road this weekend for a three-game series at Cornell. Due to expected inclement weather, the Bears and the Big Red will now play one game on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. before wrapping up the weekend series with their regularly schedule doubleheader on Saturday. No games are currently scheduled for Sunday.
This marks the first-ever trip for the Bears to the brand new Booth Field, which opened in 2023.

ALL-TIME SERIES
- Brown holds a 73-63-2 lead in the all-time series with Cornell.
- Brown has won 10 of the last 12 games with Cornell, including two out of three last year in Providence, and a three-game sweep on Easter weekend on 2023, which were the final three games ever at the old Hoy Field.
SCOUTING BROWN (3-14, 0-3 Ivy)
- Brown is coming off a dramatic walk-off win in Tuesday's non-conference home opener against Stonehill, scoring the final seven runs unanswered for a 7-4 win in 10 innings.
- Gunner Boree delivered his second game-winning homer of the season, this one a walk-off three-run shot in the bottom of the 10th.
- Brown had been held to just three hits through the first seven innings before scoring four times to tie it in the eighth.
- Reigning Ivy Rookie of the Week Christian Butera continued his hot streak on Tuesday, starting the rally in the eighth inning with a two-run double. He has a hit in seven of his last eight games and pushed his season batting average up to .375, which leads the team. He also leads the way with five doubles, four home runs, and is second with nine RBIs.
- DJ Dillehay has a hit in seven of his last eight games and is batting .313 on the season with a team-leading 10 runs and 10 RBIs.
- Junior Mika Petersen has hit safely in 13 of this last 14 games and reached base in 15 of the 17 games this season.
SCOUTING CORNELL (7-7, 2-1 Ivy)
- As a team, the Big Red are hitting .282, which leads the Ivy League.
- The team is coming off taking two out of three from Yale last weekend.
- Senior outfielder Ryan Porter is hitting .417 on the season with four multi-hit games in the last five contests.
- Senior outfielder John Quinlan carries 10-game hitting streak into the weekend, as well as a 22-game on-base streak dating back to last season.
- Max Jensen is third on the team with a .438 on-base percentage this season but had a 31-game on-base streak halted on Sunday at Yale.
