What if the Guide dies? ›

Unlike most other NPCs, the Guide spawns upon world creation, before a house is available. He will, however, move into the first house built. If he is killed, a proper house will need to be built before he can respawn, but has no additional requirements.

Like any other NPC, the Guide won't respawn if there are any world events (like Goblin Attack) ongoing.

Players use resources to craft new items and equipment. Different recipes require different resources and crafting stations. Several items in Terraria create complex crafting trees involving a large amount of items to create a single powerful piece of equipment.

Terraria is an open-ended game: Players are not forced to go anywhere or do anything. You are free to set your own goals and follow through with them, whether you are a builder, fighter, explorer, collector, or whatever else.

You can spawn most NPCs by creating houses or rooms for them. Do note that an NPC won't spawn unless this space has a chair, table, and lighting fixture. It must also be a closed establishment with a wall and a door. The Terraria NPCs that arrive in your built houses or rooms will also arrive in chronological order.

NPCs will only move in during daytime. If an NPC is killed, they will respawn after a delay, as long as a suitable vacant house is still available. If the NPC has an inventory or population requirement for their initial spawn (e.g. the 50 requirement for the Merchant), that has to be met again for the respawn.

Moving in requirements for Terraria NPCs

These rooms need to be built to a certain specification. Once built, the NPC will happily move in after a short time. The optimal room has: A living space of 30 blocks or more (60 when you include walls, floor, and ceiling.

This alert prioritizes walls (both fore and background), then furniture (door, light source, table, and chair). A generic "This is not valid housing." can indicate that the frame is not closed, or that there is no place for the NPC to stand (see below for details).

When attempting to spawn the Truffle, try to make sure enough Houses exist for other NPCs that have not yet spawned. Having too much Corruption or Crimson beneath the house may invalidate the housing. For the Truffle to move in, the house must be in a Surface Glowing Mushroom biome.

Terraria 2 is to be the second installment of the Terraria series. Little is known about the nature and content of the game, and there is currently no release date. The Guide's Final Gift is an advanced Hardmode post-Moon Lord crafting station which is capable of being used as almost any crafting station in the game.

It is a guaranteed drop from Voodoo Demons, a fairly rare enemy in The Underworld. When the doll is equipped as an accessory, it becomes possible for the player and other NPCs to kill the Guide with direct attacks from weapons (which normally would not damage him).

The Brain of Cthulhu is a pre-Hardmode, Crimson-themed boss resembling a large, flying brain. It can be summoned when 3 Crimson Hearts are destroyed in a Crimson world, or when a player uses a Bloody Spine anywhere in the Crimson or Underground Crimson biome.
