We have taken our two beloved dogs, Buster & Buttercup to Creek View Veterinary Clinic for almost 14 years. Dr Doherty & Dr Brotze have given them excellent care & have taken time explaining every detail of their care to us.

My dog was having some type of seizer and my vet of 18 years could not see her. We called around and Creek View said to bring her in right away. They were wonderful with her and I was thinking of switching vets for my 4 fur babies. Fast forward to three weeks later when one of my babies developed a horrible cough. I called Creek View and was told the earliest they could see her would be in 8 days (I had to call back after being on hold for 19 minutes) but if I wanted to bring her in and drop her off they could work her in and it would cost a extra $25. I inquired if this was a normal occurrence (waiting so long to see a sick pet) and was told that it does happen. Very disappointed because I thought I had found a new vet.

Dr. Gary not only explained everything to me but because of my interest in biology, he let me see the microscope slides of my dogs little worm. Fixed him up for much cheaper than the vet I went to earlier this year.

Dr Rierson is absolutely the best! He is through and knowledgeable. He is very caring with my babies! We love him. The vet assists have spoiled my Shih Tzu for two years, he recognizes their voices while I'm on the phone and thinks he's going to see them. I highly recommend Creek View Clinic!!!

It has taken me a few months to write this updated review. We were loyal fans of Creek View for several years. Easily spent thousands on vet care, until one day, one of our furbabies passed away at Creek View. I was so disappointed with how they handled our cat's passing, that I have vowed to never return to Creek View. I have also told all of my friends, some who also used to use this veterinary clinic, to go elsewhere. Our cat went in sick, which I was well aware. She was sitting upright, but wouldn't eat. She was responsive and even tried her hardest to come to her magical clicker, but was refusing treats. We dropped her off at around 0700, and no update til about 1000. Then, there was an apparent 2 hour lunch involved per the receptionist, and a sudden decline began to unfold. My husband came and got me from work, crying, telling me of how sorry he was, that my sweet Sugar was now on her side and the end was near. Upon arrival, we called, as everything was curbside still. It took over 45 minutes to bring us back. It seemed like forever, and I was so afraid she would pass before I got the chance to tell her how much I loved her. We then learned they had actually forgot about us and did apologize, and walked us to a room. We were told she was unresponsive, pupils fixed with eyes open, gums pale and dry, skin cold, alive with crackly fluid overload sounding breaths. At one moment I was told she didn't know who I was, no pain, to the next that she was feeling pain and a review of options given. They left us to think about everything, with no answers given, with the door to our room open. They peeped in a number of times to see if we had made a decision yet, then as I began to feel her breaths get fewer and further between, I was hoping to get someone into the room. I knew I couldn't cope with feeling her last breath in my arms. With an attitude of..why the hurry now, the tech and vet proceed in and immediately ask for all money upfront before anything could be done for my precious baby. I was crying, my husband was crying, so the tech then proceeded to dig through my husband's wallet for the $900 dollar payment they were expecting. Then, once paid, the vet came in to put our baby out of her pain. I turned my head and expressed how I didn't want to witness what was happening while my husband was front and center. Despite this, the vet then walked us through every medication she was giving and it's effects. I am an ER nurse so she basically narrated where I could see without looking. As I cried harder and deeper, the vet said "it's ok, it's just saline". I cannot believe, even months later how poorly this was all handled. As if the death wasn't hard enough, I have to cope with all the surrounding events and unanswered questions. I called the days following hoping to get some sort of closure as to what happened and to express our disappointment, and we received not 1 single phone call back. My heart goes out to anyone who may have had to endure this same situation. Not only was our baby's death unexpected, but it was tragic and handled in such a profoundly inhumane and unsympathetic manner. All of our animals have been transferred from Creek View, and though they once took such wonderful care of us, I recommend you doing the same.

We had to take my baby boy in to be put to sleep, last week. They did everything they could to make him comfortable and to sustain his life, but at some point it just wasn’t working. I took him in, held and loved on him, and everyone was completely sympathetic, sweet and understanding. I called in that morning to schedule his appointment, and they were able to fit us in not even two hours later - last minute. I was so incredibly appreciative that they didn’t have us wait around the whole day before they could see us. They walked me through the process and allowed me to sit with him while he passed. Prior to any of this, I’ve been taking my animals that I watch for periods of time to this clinic and they have been fantastic. Completely. When and if I am to get another four legged family member, they will be coming here.

The Doc was so wonderful! We brought our Guineapig in for some help and she explained everything to us and made me feel comfortable ( I was stressed about our animal and the cost) and let me tell you.... the prices were super reasonable and I am very grateful for their help. I highly recommend them. We drove from Cibolo and it was totally worth it. Thanks to the staff for being super kind.

Just recently found out that my dog has been having allergic reactions from the kibbles n bits we've been giving him. A year ago these issues started, took our dog here twice, both times they asked the type of dog food I give him, never told me anything about it being possiblity bad for him. Charged me around $250 each visit for check up and prescription. Went to pet co and a regular non veterinarian employee asked me what I feed him, I told him and he said it's the food. And sure enough, it was. He's healing quick without killing my bank account. It's kinda sad when you pay a "professional" to take care of your pet and they just rip you off and give temporary results. I will never ever use this vet again. And I will tell everyone I know to go elsewhere. It's sickening.

Our Chihuahua was very seriously ill and we weren't sure he would make it through the weekend. They kept them for the weekend and we were able to take him home on Monday with medications and he seems to be doing well. Great care, constant updates - even on the weekend & humane treatment.
