Why I love this Chicken Club Pasta Salad recipe

The term “club” in the name refers to the classic sandwich filling that this salad is based on, which includes chicken, bacon, lettuce, and tomato.

Why is this called Chicken Club Pasta Salad?

Based loosely on the Club Sandwich, this Pasta Salad has many of the same ingredients used in the Popular Club Sandwich.

Can I use variations of the ingredients?

Certainly, variations can be used. You can use Turkey Bacon in place of regular bacon, use a different type of cheese or eliminate or trade out some of the vegetables. For instance, if you do not want the Green Pepper, switch chopped dill pickle for it.

What tips can you give me to make this Pasta Salad the best?

Do not add the avocado until just before serving. Cook the Pasta just to the Al dente stage and then rinse with cold water to rinse off the starchy taste of the pasta. Combine the Italian dressing and mayonnaise together before adding it to the pasta salad.

Which cut of chicken do you recommend for the Chicken Club Pasta Salad?

Most often, I would say to use Chicken breast. However, use any chicken that you may have in the refrigerator from a night or two prior to this meal. You could also stop and grab a rotisserie chicken to use for the Pasta Salad.

What should I serve with the Chicken Club Pasta Salad?

The Chicken Club Pasta Salad is a meal all by itself. If you wanted, you could serve Garlic Toast with this Pasta Salad. Crackers would also be a nice side with this pasta dish.
